I SAW A MANATEE! I woke up early so I could go down to the jetty since I’d heard stories of how people had seen manatees and even sea turtles there! I was sitting down at the end watching the birds fight over the little piece of bagel that I was giving them when I saw a shadow pass by the little cove and then I saw a bit of a body come up. It actually kind of looked like a baby beluga with the colour and shape. I ran over to the other part of the jetty and saw it poke its head out too!! woo! I didn’t get a chance to take a picture because it came up so suddenly but this time I saw it without a doubt!!

... this is where I saw the manatee! The manatee is not in the picture though...

... I'm fairly sure this is a ruddy turnstone although my new snazzy book says that they are only here during the cold season.

On the way back, I noticed that on the inlet side, there were some baby sergeant majors that I chased trying to get a good picture.

And THEN I saw some massive pink moon jellies that were about 1 foot wide!

... holy pink jelly!
